With the first ever American Motorcyclist Association race in 1975 and 26 consecutive Monster Energy AMA Supercross races under its belt since then, Dallas is no newbie when it comes to turf-tearing competition. But this is the first time the new Cowboys Stadium will host the event, meaning that supercross fans get to enjoy the world’s largest 1080p HDTV, padded seats and pricey concessions. Some of the most accomplished racers in the sport will participate, including 2008 World Champion Chad Reed and 2009 World Champion James “Bubba” Stewart. These two titans have clashed before in races tight enough to guarantee a neck-and-neck pursuit at this year’s competition. Tickets are $40 to $55. The race begins 7 p.m Saturday at Cowboys Stadium, 925 North Collins Street, Arlington. True fans can get free autographs at the pre-race Pit Party from 12:30 to 6 p.m, provided that they have an empty Monster Energy can on hand. Call 800-745-3000 or visit SupercrossOnline.com for details.
