Even children need a place to call their own. In the best cases, it’s an escape from the daily grind of homework and popularity alliances. In the worst cases, as evidenced in the children’s classic A Secret Garden, it’s a respite from the loss of parents and isolation in a strange place. In both cases, we all rejoice when a child’s sanctuary rejuvenates them. Performances of The Secret Garden are 7:30 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with 3 p.m. Saturday matinees through April 14 at Artisan Center Theater, 420 E. Pipeline Road in Hurst. Admission is $7 to $13. Call 817-284-1200 or visit artisanct.com.
Mondays, Thursdays-Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 3 p.m. Starts: March 23. Continues through April 14
