Some of us age gracefully, mellowing into supple silvers and golds, wearing each year as a pearl of wisdom rather than a battle scar. Unfortunately, many of us, like Beaujolais, are bright and crisp when we’re young, but quickly turn to unenjoyable vinegar. All the more reason to enjoy life–and young wines–now, rather than banking on the future. Join the Symphony Orchestra of Richardson at their 2010 Beaujolais Bash, and enjoy the traditional tasting of the year’s new Beaujolais, along with food, art, a silent auction and, of course, music. The bash begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Renaissance Hotel, 900 E. Lookout Drive in Richardson. Reservations are required and dress code is “fun party casual.” Requested donations are $40 for advance reservations, $60 at the door, or $75 to enjoy VIP amenities. Call 972-234-4195 or visit richardsonsymphony.org.
Sat., Nov. 20, 7 p.m., 2010
