Violins often imply a sad turn of events. But some violins at the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra signify a very happy turn of events. The FWSO has enlisted 32 artists to jazz up the stringed instruments with paint and TLC (Tender Loving Creativity, that is). The finished products will be auctioned off at a special dinner, and proceeds benefit music education, proving that even happy violins can tug at your heartstrings. Painted Violins: Strings Attached takes place 6 p.m. Thursday at the Fort Worth Club, 306 W. Seventh St. in Fort Worth. Tickets are $75, or $1,000 per table of 10. Call 817-665-6500 or visit fwstringsattached.org.
