In sixth grade, I saw a real heart. No, not one of those cheesy, pink, heart-shaped necklaces; I actually saw the real deal. Okay, it was only because I had to. Every sixth grade science class was required to dissect a frog as a part of its final grade. Who would’ve known how different it would actually look? Well, the finalists for the 17th Annual El Corazon Art Exhibition definitely have quite the idea. Every year, Jose Vargas and the Bath House Cultural Center invite artists to submit their interpretations of the human heart through paint, sketch and just about every other type of art medium. This year’s artists will exhibit their work at the Bath House Cultural Center, 521 Lawther Drive. The exhibition lasts from Saturday, January 29 to Saturday, February 26. The Bath House Cultural Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. For more information, visit bathhousecultural.com.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 12-6 p.m. Starts: Jan. 29. Continues through Feb. 26, 2011
