The outdoor art festival is a thing that never gets old—and how could it? Even if you don’t consider yourself a hardcore art aficionado, the mix of artists with food vendors and entertainers is an irresistible draw for anyone looking to stretch their legs, broaden their horizons, and fill their bellies. The 2015 Spring Art Festival at B&A Glassworks, 2123 Silverado Drive in South Dallas, meets all those criteria with a laid-back event from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday. Festival-goers can expect art in a variety of mediums from 20 local artists—including sculptors, jewelry makers, painters, pyrographers and photographers—plus treats from Carnival Barkers Ice Cream and performances from bands Swirve, Poppy Zander, Pecan Tree, Tree House Collective, and Kate Miner Orchestra. The event is free and BYOB; visit springart.com.
