When we address uncomfortable subjects with humor, we feel a little bit better. That’s why it’s a good idea to go see Mid Life! The Crisis Musical with your parents and other old-ass friends. That way, you can broach the subject of that stupid motorcycle Steve bought without offending him too much. Apparently dear old Steve missed the memo that went around on May 3, 1978, the day that motorcycles stopped being edgy vehicles of the youth and started being a really good way to tell the world that you have scrotal sag issues. Advise Steve to sell that mid-life crisis-mobile while he’s still reeling with laughter from Mid Life!, and you may get him to see the error of his tacky ways. Miss this opportunity at your peril; otherwise, you’re looking at a lot of conversations about exhaust pipes until Steve’s alcohol-fueled early-onset Alzheimer’s sets in. Mid Life! The Crisis Musical runs Friday through May 18 at Theatre Three, 2800 Routh St., Suite 168.
