The Kitchen Dog Theater can do no wrong. Any place that lets a dog run around amidst throngs of gallery patrons and theatergoers is A-1 in my book. Oh, and they put on some great shows too. KDT probably offers some of the most challenging theater in Dallas, and they definitely put on one of the best fund-raisers. Mark your calendars for their 10th Annual Hooch and Pooch gala (What’s that you say? You can’t really bring your dog? Well, even better then.), where they’ll go noir with the theme and partygoers can partake in cocktails, comfort food, cameras and the musical spinnings of DJ Mark Ridlen. The fund-raiser also includes their now-famous Doggy Bags, a raffle and silent auction, which usually features some fantastic loot. Of course, the main reason to go is to support the theater and get your picture taken for a variety of social pages. You know you want to. Tickets are $75 in advance and $85 at the door. Large groups are offered a discount. Hooch and Pooch Noir is 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the MAC, 3120 McKinney Ave. For additional information, call 214-953-1055 or visit kitchendogtheater.org.
