Recruiting lovely ladies for a good cause is a genius way to raise money for people in need. Who can resist a beautiful woman’s request to help others? Viva Dallas Burlesque has invited regional dancers to perform at the Festivus Follies, a night benefiting Home for the Holidays. The Texas-based volunteer organization sends those living with AIDS home to spend time with their families during the holidays and year-round. The follies feature talents from Austin and New Orleans. The Festivus Follies kicks off 9 p.m. Friday at the Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Road. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20. Visit vivadallasburlesque.com.
