It’s no secret: I like to drink boxed wine and maybe eat a small bag of Cheetos at night sometimes. It’s my weird version of wine and cheese. I even like to be called a wino, or rather, I used to until Amy Winehouse screwed that nickname up for us wine lovers–I’d rather not be categorized with the beehive stick figure, but I digress. Anyway, it shouldn’t be a shocker if you see me double-fisting glasses of wine this weekend at Grapefest. Of course, you can do other things besides drink at the festival. They will have several grape-stomping competitions throughout the weekend, a Champagne terrace where you can enjoy your wine and not have to fight off the crowd, and of course, a wine tasting. Grapefest will even have a kid zone for your little ones, including a 40-animal petting zoo to keep the kiddos distracted while you sip on your Merlot. Get ready to do some grape stomping Thursday through Sunday at the 23rd Annual Grapefest in the historic town of Grapevine. For more information, visit grapevinetexasusa.com.
