It’s our job to get excited about famous events with local ties. Sports teams winning championships, TV shows based on our city, JFK’s death–good or bad, we love it. That’s why we have a special fondness for former Poison lead singer Bret Michaels. Did you know he wrote “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” while sitting in a Dallas Laundromat? True story, and for that we forgive most of his really silly career…until now. Jackson, Tennessee, pop-country band Forty5 South has gone on a publicity frenzy ever since Michaels produced their latest album, We’re Country So We Can, and no, not a second of it was made anywhere near Dallas, so we don’t owe it any compliments. Still, the band’s seven fans will get a kick out of their concert.
