Whether you’re in a great mood or having the worst day of all time, the unconditional love from your four-legged friend can’t be beat. If you’re looking to find a new companion, you can save money, as well as an animal’s life, by going by an animal shelter to adopt your new addition. The Rockwall Animal Adoption Center, 1825 Airport Road in Rockwall, is presenting Summer of Love: 60s Power, a month full of pet adoptions for those animals who have been at the shelter for 60 days or longer. Eligible dogs will only cost $25, and eligible cats will be free of charge (normal fee is $60). The adoption center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information, call 972-771-7750 or visit rockwallpets.com.
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: Aug. 1. Continues through Aug. 31, 2011
