Cover your pornographic Tinkerbell tattoos and unhinge your wallets, my friends, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center (known to parents as The Toy Store Where You Have To Pay Admission) is unveiling its new attraction June 1 and it promises to be killer. And of course, by killer, I mean your 3- to 10-year-old will have the best 10 minutes of his life as he takes off in a miniature car and attempts to track down a couple of LEGO criminals as they flee through a forest (at 1.2 mph). And when the adrenaline rush from this high-intensity chase wears off, the little one still has a zillion pieces of LEGO to manipulate at will in the Play Zone. Then he can tear from medieval castles to miniature DFW replicas, and you don’t have to worry a bit about vacuuming up errant Excaliburs or smiley yellow heads. The $12.75 per child and $16.15 per adult is a small price to pay for a magical day amongst interlocking plastic bricks at LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Grapevine Mills (3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway). LEGOLAND is open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday.
