The Ochre House (825 Exposition Ave.) is coming off a banner 2012, with productions of Party Mouth and Old attracting sell-out audiences and much critical frothing. Ochre House’s papa bear, Matthew Posey, also took time out of his busy schedule to make an appearance on Dallas recently. The theater’s spring season breaks the ice with Posey’s latest surrealist play, Dreams of Slaughtered Sheep, which stars Ochre House regular Justin Locklear as Spencerville, a man tormented by nightmares of the slaughterhouse in which he works. In typical Posey fashion, there will be some dark comedy. Locklear adds his puppetry skills to the mix, and the Ochre House band has another ominous score up its sleeve. The play runs through April 27, Wednesdays through Saturdays. Tickets are $15, and shows start at 8:15 p.m. You better call 214-826-6273 to reserve your seat, which will otherwise sell out.
