The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS might be known for their auctions of artfully remixed denim jackets, but their upcoming spring fundraising event is about more than just fashion. Dubbed “Dramatically Different,” the night features cocktails, dancing and homages to art, music, dance and, of course, design. Since 1984, DIFFA/Dallas has raised more than $38 million in the fight against HIV/AIDS, making it the most successful DIFFA chapter nationally. Money raised not only goes to treatment and care services, but also to public policy initiatives and to education programs that target at-risk populations. The event takes place Saturday at the Dallas Hilton Anatole, 2201 Stemmons Freeway. Individual tickets start at $300. Visit diffadallas.org for more ticket information and details.
