Have you been bucking at the chance to purchase some high quality bull semen? What about embryos? Well, since you’re already in the market, why not dig a little deeper for a good cause? The Texas Longhorn Marketing Alliance is holding their 7th annual Texas Longhorn Legacy Sale. In the past they’ve raised nearly $1 million for cancer research and filled the coffers of a number of college scholarship funds. This year they’ll raise money for both the Texas Longhorn Heritage Foundation and the Mosser Family Scholarship Fund, which distributes scholarships to children that raise and show longhorn cattle. And how do you kickoff a ballroom event like this? By herding 100 of its longhorn stars into the ballroom itself, of course. This record breaking event has featured some of the highest selling longhorns in history, including the 2008 sale of one miss Candy Cane for $170,000. The cattle will be scuffing up the floors March Friday and Saturday at the Texas Ballroom in the Hyatt Regency of North Dallas, 701 East Campbell Road in Richardson. Visit thelonghornalliance.com for tickets and info.
