Once upon a time people actually milked their own cows, produced their own meat and grew their own fruits and vegetables. Kids’ chores consisted of tending to the farm instead of cleaning their room, and people couldn’t fathom mothers working anywhere but in their own household. Needless to say, things have definitely changed, and now the closest thing we have to growing our own produce is spending the day at the good ol’ farmers market. Continuing this week and, well, pretty much through the fall, Grapevine offers cantaloupe, watermelon, green beans and many more fruits and veggies at the Grapevine Farmers Market. The market continues from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday through Saturday through October 30 at the Town Square Gazebo, 325 S. Main St. For more information, visit grapevinetexasusa.com.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Starts: June 17. Continues through Oct. 30, 2010
