Spring is a time of rebirth, according to conventional wisdom, religion and even science to a certain extent. But in North Texas, autumn is the more appropriate season for revival—after the beat-down that is summer, everything emerges all shiny and new. Hoodies are donned, pumpkin spice pervades our beverages, and the air seems crisp and downright breathable. It’s the perfect time to get thee to a park and appreciate the wonders of the season, including Fall for the Arts at Klyde Warren Park, 2012 Woodall Rogers Freeway. From 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday the little urban park that could will host a free cultural celebration in collaboration with local arts agencies and in conjunction with the Arts District’s First Saturday activities. Fall for the Arts events include musical and theatrical performances on three stages, an art exhibit, sidewalk chalk artists, buskers, and blank canvasses that will allow you to unleash your inner renaissance. Take in classical ballet, folklorico, jazz and choral music while you enjoy the sheer sweetness of being outdoors; the event is free and open to all ages.
