Warning! This item contains “life spoilers” and is intended for readers ages 8 and older. Proceed with caution. Here’s the thing about Christmas: It involves so many stories of things that just don’t happen in real life. Sugar plums don’t really dance. Reindeer can’t fly. Friendly snowmen don’t have motor skills (and neither do the unfriendly ones, for that matter). But for eight special shows, holiday miracles will happen before your very eyes thanks to more than 30 costumed daredevils. Gingerbread men will fling themselves through the air, toy soldiers will walk high wires and, yes, reindeer will take to the “skies” over a festively decorated set. The AT&T Performing Arts Center presents Cirque Dreams: Holidaze as part of the Lexus Broadway Series Tuesday through December 23 at the Winspear Opera House. So take the kids and tell cynics to shove it, because holiday fantasy doesn’t have to stay bound in storybooks. Show times are 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Sunday, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets start at $25. Visit attpac.org.
