If you enjoy a good rom-com (and double entendre) and are tired of Kate Hudson, The Bath House Cultural Center on White Rock Lake has just the solution for you. Beginning Thursday and running through October 22, Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest will be presented by the Wingspan Theatre Company. Dubbed “A Trivial Comedy For Serious People,” the play centers on two men posing as fictional “Earnest,” both in pursuit of (and what else, when it comes to men) a woman. Confusion, high jinks and razor-sharp Wildean wit ensue. Show times are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on Saturday afternoons. For reservations and tickets, call 214-675-6573 or visit wingspantheatre.com.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 p.m. Starts: Oct. 6. Continues through Oct. 22, 2011
