Have you ever loved a book so much you wanted to, you know, eat it? You know, like that copy of Wuthering Heights that is dog-eared on every page? Some famous movie claimed love means never having to say you’re sorry, but we all have those confusing moments–especially with books–when we want to eat the things we love. Don’t do it. Instead, check out UNT’s Edible Book Fest, where people make up edible tributes to their favorite books–from Dr. Seuss book-cover sheet cakes to Oliver Twist (a twisted loaf of olive bread). Contestants must pay $2 to enter by Thursday. The contest takes place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the Willis Library, 1506 Highland Ave. in Denton. E-mail ellen.truax@unt.edu for information.
