Count on lots of face-stuffing on Saturday at the inaugural Taste of Greenville Avenue at the Granada Theater. Food from 23 restaurants, including Ozona’s, iFratelli’s, Freebirds, Snuffer’s, San Francisco Rose, The Libertine Bar and Blue Fish, will be sold in sample sizes for either $2 or $4. In between bites, adopt a pet, take a turn at the dunking booth or the ladies can add candy and curls to their hair. There’ll be live music all day, topped off by a performance by the Cas Haley Trio. I know what you’re thinking: “It sounds fun, but where in the hell am I going to park?” Parking at Mockingbird Station is free, but only if you take a bus down to lower Greenville (a DART pass will cost you $4). Shuttles from parking lots along Sears Street and Prospect Avenue are available for $5 per carload. The Taste of Greenville Avenue is the brainchild of the brand new Greenville Avenue Restaurant Association and the party lasts from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit http://tasteofgreenvilleavenue.com for the full menu and music schedule.
