Stop watching the Discovery Channel and experience dinosaurs in real life! Well, at least what look like real dinosaurs. The fourth annual Dinosaurs Alive! exhibit is back with a few new friends this year to help approximate a real-life Jurassic Park. The 46-foot T. rex and eight new life-size animatronic dinosaurs will move and roar along the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary’s nature trail, giving visitors a closer look at what dinosaurs looked, walked and roared like. Visitors also have the opportunity to see the Heard’s Treasures From the Earth exhibit featuring dinosaur skulls and fossils. Kids are invited to test their paleontologist skills by digging for fossils. This exhibit only comes once every year, so pack up the kids and experience these extinct creatures that once ruled the world. The exhibit starts Thursday and runs through January 31 at The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, 1 Nature Place in McKinney. Admission is $8, $5 for kids and seniors, and free for members. Call 972-562-5566, or visit heardmuseum.org.
