The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) will present its annual juried membership show at the Mary Tomás Gallery in the Dallas Design District. CAC is a nonprofit community arts organization and school of visual arts geared toward beginning, emerging, and working artists, and the selections for the show represent the variety of classes and artists of CAC. Selected by an esteemed panel—Catherine Cuellar, Executive Director of the Dallas Arts District, Lorraine Tady, Associate Professor of Art at UT Dallas, and Mary Tomás, Gallery Director at the Mary Tomás Gallery—the show will feature work from 27 artists, everything from sculpture, mosaic, fused glass, jewelry, drawing, painting, photography, and ceramics will be on display. See the work at the free opening reception from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Mary Tomás Gallery (1110 Dragon St.), or anytime through August 30.
