We’re pretty certain Nicole Stewart (one of the Observer’s 2012 30 Most Interesting People) will jump over the dreaded sophomore slump with gusto — and a little help from her friends. After making a big mark on the scene last year with Oral Fixation (An Obsession with True Life Tales), Stewart is kicking off the second season with seven stories on the theme of “Baby Steps.” Among those slated to perform are Whitney Presley, Mary Ellen Kendall, Jackie Stewart and David Hopkins, who’s sure to please with his tale, “One Request Before You Leave: How a road trip, the Beatles, and a motel in Missouri made me a better ex-husband.” Check out Oral Fixation at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McKinney Avenue Contemporary, 3120 McKinney Ave. in Uptown. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Get them early, these things sell out. Call 214-953-1212 or visit oralfixationshow.com
