This week, it’s the Dallas Mavericks’ chance to strike back against the Lakers and avoid cementing their third loss this season to the Los Angeles team. The Mavs might have secured an NBA Championship of their own, but it hasn’t made their games against their predecessors any easier. The last time these two teams faced off, in February, the Lakers beat the Mavericks 96-91, stopping Dallas’ streak at seven. Now it’s back to Dallas’ home court for another shot at a win that is much needed for a season that some critics have already labeled a throwaway year for the team. The game is set to start at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the American Airlines Center. Ticket prices vary. Visit americanairlinescenter.com or nba.com/mavericks for ticket information and details.
