We all know that trip to the mall on Black Friday might leave you empty-handed, or worse, with injuries. Play it safe and shop early at the Chi Omega Christmas Market. The annual market features clothing, home accessories, toys and more gifts from more than 175 vendors, so you’ll get your shopping done early. Get a sneak peek inside the market during the opening gala from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday. Local sculptor and designer Brad Oldham will debut his new line of owl sculptures, and guests will enjoy appetizers, cocktails and live music from the Heather McCready Band. The Chi Omega Christmas Market is open to the public 1 p.m.-9 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the Dallas Convention Center. Tickets to Wednesday’s gala, $70, guarantee daily readmission to the market, as do first call tickets, $20 to $25, which will get you into the market for early shopping at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. General admission is $12 in advance, $15 at the door. For tickets and more information, visit chiomegaxmas.org.
