Did you have a rough 2012? Are you ready to kick over old traditions? Do you think turkeys taste better when nested with chickens and ducks? Well, this is the year you take a stand. Tell the world that the commercialization of the holiday season is for suckers and you’re not playing anymore; you’re going to close this sucker off with a new holiday. This year, you’ll Festivus. Join like-minded souls at Festivus of Lights, hosted by the Friends of Living Plaza. All of the Festivus traditions are on the schedule, so while you enjoy some tasty goodness from your favorite food trucks and listen to a few musical performances, you’ll also partake in the annual Airing of Grievances and tackle the Papier-mache dumbbell to satisfy Feats of Strength. The event is free and open to the rest of us, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall, 1500 Marilla St. Visit facebook.com/FriendsOfLivingPlaza for more information.
