Don’t worry if you happened to miss the MAC’s initial Spin Off panel back in June — there’s more where that came from (and it can be viewed in full online). In partnership with The Writer’s Garret, the McKinney Avenue Contemporary brings you the second of four multidisciplinary panel discussions as part of its Spin Off series, planned through November. Free and open to the public, Spin Off presents topics inspired and informed by current MAC exhibitions and riffing on the themes and ideas presented in them. With a self-explanatory title, What the #$%& do you do with an art degree?, the discussion runs from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and features panelists Kimberly Alexander, Danielle Georgiou, Tom Jungerberg and Jason Roberts, dishing on the “larger conversations that continue to define contemporary art, its practice, its theory, its history, and its meaning.” Visit the-mac.org for more details.
