We all know Shakespeare. The “thees and thous,” the Romeos, the Juliets. But the one-man show Shakespeare’s Keeper shows us a new side of the Bard. The award-winning play centers on life in the era of Shakespeare’s famous Globe Theatre. Told from the perspective of a sometimes caustic stage hand, whose story withholds little, the play gives us a glimpse of an acting company during one of the greatest eras of the theater, forced to watch its work literally go up in flames. Shakespeare’s Keeper shows at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Arts Centre Theatre, 1028 15th Place in downtown Plano. Admission is $17 to $37. Call 214-505-1655 or visit classicalactingcompany.com.
Thu., Jan. 25, 7:30 p.m.; Jan. 26-27, 8 p.m.; Sun., Jan. 28, 3 p.m.
