Much of comedy is based on the absurd. Steve Martin as a “poor black child.” A musical version of the Spanish Inquisition. Count Dracula stepping through the swinging half-doors of a Western saloon, brandishing his six-shooter and drawling, “I vant to suck your…sarsparilla!” Meet the “fastest fangs in the West” at Pocket Sandwich Theatre’s Drac in the Saddle Again, another of the theater’s audience-participation comedic spoofs. Though we imagine it might be difficult for this vampire to meet anyone at high noon, we’re sure this play promises plenty of gunslingers and garlic. Dracula is, um, backula at Pocket Sandwich Theatre through February 18.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 11:15 p.m.; Sundays, 7 p.m. Starts: Jan. 19. Continues through Feb. 18
