Come on, Christmas only comes around one day every year; why not celebrate it for as long as possible? You can’t celebrate it after it’s already passed–that would be weird. So after Thanksgiving, attend as many events, festivals and tree lightings as possible. MetroPCS Fair Park Holiday is one of those festivals, featuring free museum visits, a Dallas Wind Symphony Quintet concert, arts and crafts, kids’ activities and entertainment. If that wasn’t enough, the City of Dallas will also unveil the newly renovated “Bellagio-style” Esplanade Fountain, filling the sky with dancing water performances. The 500 Inc. Holiday Market will feature a variety of quality merchandise, gifts and holiday decor. To top it off, the festival will end with the City of Dallas Tree-Lighting Ceremony and Candlelight Military Tribute. The festival will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Fair Park, located at 1121 First Ave. Admission is free, and parking is $10. For more information, go to fairpark.org.
