No one is quite sure what the Marvel Experience is. Radio ads have billed it as seven domes of “fully immersive hyper-reality” at the Cotton Bowl in Fair Park, where you can partner up with characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor and Wolverine to do … something. We’re not sure what that something is, but you can count on a ride, 3-D glasses and superheroes. This is for kids and the young at heart, because every 8-year-old — whether literally that age or just mentally — wants to hang out with superheroes. The excitement kicks off Thursday and tickets start at $27.50, with VIP packages that include access to a bar starting at $179. Kids 6 and younger get in free; take them to see superheroes, they’ll think you’re the best.
Fridays, Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.; Sun., Jan. 18, 9:30 a.m.; Mon., Jan. 19, 9:30 a.m.; Tuesdays, Thursdays, 2:30 p.m.; Sun., Jan. 25, 9:30 a.m.; Mon., Jan. 26, 10:30 a.m.; Sun., Feb. 1, 8:30 a.m. Starts: Jan. 16. Continues through Feb. 1, 2015
