You’d have to be a real Scrooge to hate on pet owners dressing up their furry little loved ones in itty-bitty Santa hats and having their pictures taken with Old St. Nick. Maybe it’s a bit weird, but what’s not weird about celebrating the birth of Jesus by dragging a tree into your house, exchanging Best Buy gift cards with friends and family and hanging hosiery over a fireplace? You’d also have to be a real Grinch to frown upon the area’s oldest and largest no-kill animal shelter. You may not be a pet person, but you should seek the assistance of a psychiatric professional if you wish death to puppies. So you’d have to be a complete and total asshole bastard if you couldn’t find the slightest bit of joy in Operation Kindness’ annual “Pet Photos With Santa” fund-raiser. Get yours taken from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Drive in Carrollton. Photo session and choice of layouts will cost you $15 and additional photos are $5 a pop. Call 972-418-7297 or visit operationkindness.org.
