We all have our things. Some people travel to all of the taco stands in the land, others collect Revolution-era stoneware, and then some are full-bred, pedigreed cat people. For them — or us, because who are we kidding here — there is the Cat Fanciers’ Association All-Breed and Household Pet Cat Show at the Cleburne Conference Center, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature the judging of up to 225 pedigreed cats and household cats … and there’s really no reason to feel bad about that, because we all know cats spend a good 72.9 percent of their day judging us. Fanciers can also mingle with Ambassador Cats Walker and Zoe, as well as shop vendors of “catty” products. And, of course, if you feel the urge to take someone new home, rescue groups and adoptable friends will abound. The Cleburne Conference Center is located at 1501 W. Henderson St. Admission is $5 per adult, $4 per senior or child. Receive $1 off adult admission with a dry pet food donation to benefit the clients of Meals on Wheels in Johnson and Ellis counties. For more info, call 254-965-7792 or visit cfagulfshore.org.
