This week the Rangers face off against the Oakland A’s in a game that, even in a community of amateur statisticians, has commentators checking their numbers. Oakland’s record has been hit and miss (no pun intended) for the past season, but after the team broke an 18 loss streak at Fenway Park earlier this month, it might be back on the up-and-up. At the same time, the Rangers took the first back-to-back loss of the season against the Blue Jays. Still, though, it’s hard to argue with the Ranger’s burgeoning win-loss record and impressive run differential. This game is far from decided. The Rangers take the plate at 7:05 p.m. at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Ticket prices vary. Visit texas.rangers.mlb.com for details.
