The days of making fun of Ed Begley Jr. and his electric cars have gone the way of the dinosaur, and now the whole world knows that the future of transportation will be the use of alternative fuel and energy. If you’re still a little slow on the uptake (or if you want to see the latest and greatest in transportation advancements), head out to the Fourth Annual Texas AltCar Conference & Expo this weekend to see what the future has in store. You’ll learn about alternative technology vehicles and transportation, renewable energy, urban planning and more, and you’ll also get a chance to test drive a selection of the latest alternative-fuel vehicles. So put the pedal to the renewable metal at AltCar Expo Texas from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Plano Events Centre, 2000 East Spring Creek Parkway. Admission is free to the public.
