Southern California street art will finally get its due on Saturday when Dallas gets a visit from an old friend. Here-turned-there artist David Grizzle returns to his yeehaw heritage this weekend to show off his skate-deck art in a one-night-only show called Acrylics on Decks.<> His subjects include everything from Josh Hamilton to the Golden Gate Bridge, with a few wahines and vintage matchbooks thrown in for good measure. And, of course, bare naked boobies commemorated on skateboards. Hey, you paint what you love, right? Guess what else? David’s nickname is “Alligator.” Is it because of his reptile skin or the fact he eats babies whole? Find out the answer at City Tavern, located at 1402 Main St. from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is zero dollars. For more info, ollie over to davidgrizzleart.blogspot.com.
