When I think of art, I immediately think “loin, fatback, shank, strip and sparerib.” You know, overall slaughter. OK, maybe not normally, but it’s hard not to when looking at Mirka Hokkanen’s Manipulated, hanging through April 2 at the Continental Gallery of Deep Ellum’s Continental Lofts building, 3311 Elm St. Hokkanen targets factory farming, animal testing and commercialization in her accessible, hard-hitting yet endearing multimedia exhibition. Yum. Visit pigeonstoneproject.com.
Saturdays, 1-5 p.m. Starts: March 18. Continues through April 2
