Texas Theatre (231 W. Jefferson Blvd.) has really been stepping up its costume party game lately, and we’re thankful Dallas has responded in kind. On Saturday it’s giving the gussy-up treatment to a 35mm screening of the 2001 musical Hedwig & the Angry Inch, which has now become a modern classic. Since this is a themed affair, screaming for big hair and hot pants, make sure you pull the wig down from the shelf. It’s also begging for your voice, with a free-for-all sing-along encouraged during the screening, so dust off that old soundtrack and prepare to belt a few. The intermission will feature a special performance by drag royalty Nikki Trash, and the afterparty hosts DJ Woodtronic of KNON’s Sonic Assembly and Lollipop Shoppe’s DJ Tigerbee. Tickets are $12.
