I realize this festival is a ways off, but seeing that Vinnie Paul’s Hellyeah! is on board, I figured it prudent to call your attention to the upcoming Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival. The touring show makes a stop in Dallas on Friday, September 10, at the Superpages.com Center.
And actually, it’s is a pretty solid line up of metal-based acts. Headlining are two of my son’s favorites: Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold, but the undercard is not shabby at all.
Besides Hellyeah!, Stone Sour (featuring Slipknot front man Corey Taylor), Halestorm, Airbourne (from Australia), Hail the Villain and New Medicine will also be making havoc on the main stage. Not exactly household names to the non-headbanger, but each band has some potency behind it.
Temperatures should be falling by that time of year, so I might not pass out like I did at the Vans Warped Tour like I did last year.
