You know you’re getting old when a guy in a band emails and says that he can be contacted after 3:35 on weekdays because that’s when school lets out.
Hayden Doskocil, 15-year old guitarist for local metal band Fear Me, Paris, was the culprit this time–but hey, kudos for the guy for staying in school. And many more kudos for sending along this MP3 of the band’s new song, “Machine Floor Monster.” Check it out after the jump.

WTF? Hayden told me that his band was a four piece jazz/grind band, and I had no idea what that meant. Hard to tell if the jazz influence is just a send-up, but man, that’s an intense four minutes there, my friend. Never cared too much for those cookie monster/Beelzebub vocals, but the playing here is simply ferocious.
Fear Me, Paris hails from Keller, and the members range in age from 15 to 19. I wonder if 19-year-old drummer Hunter Madison feels like the old fart…
Anyhow, the band
plans on releasing a full-length effort this summer and plays this
weekend in El Paso before returning to our area for a show at Molly’s
Burgers in Arlington on the 19th.
