One of the two women charged with operating an illegal butt injection clinic in Deep Ellum has been arrested for murder.
Wykeshia Reid died on February 15 after allegedly receiving injections at the clinic. Reid said she didn’t feel well after the injections, Clarke told police earlier this year, so Clarke locked her in the clinic overnight. When Clarke returned the next morning, Reid was dead.
Late Monday, the Dallas County Medical Examiner ruled that Reid’s death was a homicide. Late Tuesday, Jimmy Joe Clarke, who goes by Alicia, was arrested for killing Reid.
Clarke and an accomplice Denise “Wee Wee” Ross, were charged with practicing medicine without a license in March after police were told about the pair’s black-market butt-injection boutique by a woman who’d paid for the clinic’s services. The woman told police that Clarke and Ross stuck a series of syringes into her buttocks and then continued to fill them with a unknown liquid. Ross told the woman it was “HydroGel” a water-based saline product, according to police. The woman told DPD she paid $520 for the session.

After the procedure, Clarke and Ross allegedly closed the injection-site punctures with cotton balls and super glue. They gave the woman two tubes of super glue in case any liquid began to leak out.
Clarke posted $45,000 bond at was released from Dallas County Jail Wednesday.
