Madeline Adams playing with her band Madeline at Spiro’s Amphitheater Wednesday night. (Chelsea Ide)
After jumping around a bit on Spiro’s back patio listening to Teenage Bottlerocket, I headed toward the ladies room, only to be diverted by the childlike, sweet vocals of Madeline Adams. She and her band, Madeline, enchanted a small gathering with folky songs conjuring thoughts of Tilly and the Wall and Kimya Dawson. I had to stay and watch to see Robbie Cucciaro play the beat up baritone tuba. It was beautiful. Check out
recorded live. (My apologies for the distortion, but you know how it is in small clubs with loud speakers.) — Chelsea Ide
