It’s certainly not the most important item on the Dallas County Commissioners Court’s agenda for today. No, that would probably be the commissioners’ vote on whether or not to re-up for a third and final year in a pilot program that houses folks who’ve aged out of foster care, which has been done in conjunction with Central Dallas Ministries and took a year to work through the kinks. Or, perhaps, the most important item has to do keeping traffic-fine “scofflaws” from getting their vehicle registration. Or lifting the county’s hiring freeze to replace three attorneys in the Public Defender’s Office. But, below, the most interesting item on the agenda.
As Kevin Krause noted Friday, “Wonder who [Birdwell] supported in the sheriff’s election.”
