Your daily dose of national music news for Thursday, March 5, 2009…
- Phish Heads around the country have reason to rejoice this weekend: The band is finally getting back together for a full weekend of music. But, if you can’t go, well, you also have reason to rejoice: Free downloads of their shows! You’ll only be able to get them for a limited amount of time, so get ’em while they’re hot!
- Apparently Phish isn’t the only band in the giving mood–No Doubt is rewarding concertgoers with free digital downloads of their entire catalog with the purchase of a concert ticket. As long as it’s the full-priced ticket, though; no lower tier or lawn seats get the deal.
- An endorsement every man accused of assualt wants: Suge Knight supports Chris Brown “1,000%!”
- This should actually be really cool: Daft Punk is scoring the movie TR2N, the sequel to Tron. I hope it turns out as well as the Dust Brothers’ score on Fight Club.
