The 2nd annual Margarita Meltdown goes down Sunday from 3 to 10 in the Bishop Arts District. Local bartenders will compete head-to-head for the title of Best Margarita while hundreds of people get sloshed sampling the entries and eat tacos.
If you can’t wait for Sunday, more than 20 restaurants all over town will participate in a Thursday-night happy hour where overeager tequila fiends can preview the restaurants’ respective Best Margarita candidates for just five bucks.
Head on over to Tate’s, Smoke, Four Lounge, The Chesterfield, TABC, Sfuzzi, El Ranchito, La Calle Dolce, J. Pepe’s, Sundown at Granada, Mesa, Iron Cactus, Hacienda on Henderson, The Standard Pour, Cyclone Anaya’s , Maximo, Asador, Windmill Lounge, Veracruz Café, Central 214, Whiskey Cake or Café Maya between 6 and 8 to get your tequila on.
Just don’t try to hit ’em all, or you’ll probably sleep right through Sunday’s main event.
