Fans of Dallas’ the pAper chAse (or anyone who’s read our coverage of the band’s latest album) might not find too much new info in this interview in yesterday’s edition of national indie music Web site PopMatters, but the extra info about the album’s creepy cover art, discovered by lead singer John Congleton at a German truck stop, is certainly intriguing:
“Within a few days, [record label Kill Rock Stars] had researched the image, found the artist and arranged for usage. ‘The amazing thing was that the artist knew who we were and was familiar with our music,’ says Congleton. ‘It was just totally meant to be.'”
But really, aren’t all truck stop love affairs that way? –Sam Machkovech
