It’s fall, for certain, when you can go to Target and buy candy corn. Even if it’s 95 degrees outside, once the sugary confection is in-hand, it’s time to start thinking pumpkins and candy apples. You know the drill. Fall is also (in theory, anyway) the one time you can bring the whole family out into the elements and not worry about more than the occasional rain shower or ragweed flare-up. It’s a nice warm-fuzzies type of season, where you can slide easily into a Charles Shultz-inspired dream of haystacks and footballs. And maybe you didn’t think that Victory Park, home of Ghostbar, would be the kind of place to induce the aforementioned warm-fuzzies, but clean up after the late-night partying Tony Romos and plastic surgery victims, and you’ve got a nice expanse of leafy green space perfect for you and your kids to celebrate the imminent arrival of the Great Pumpkin. The family dog can even enjoy a doggy massage and special canine treats from Lucca Bella Doggie Spa. Victory Park’s Sunday in the Park will play host with seasonal beverages, costume contests for kiddos and pets, live music, fun food and more as you ease your way through the green oasis tucked between all those stores, restaurants and more. Sunday in the Park will run from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visit victorypark.com for more details, including directions to the Park and parking information.
