Downtown restaurants hoping to rent out their private dining rooms for Super Bowl viewing parties and pre-game festivities — Morton’s The Steakhouse sends word its boardroom’s still up for grabs, and it “can seat up to 70 guests at one time!” — will have additional competition from pop-up venues.

Don Julio Tequila is the latest beverage behemoth to announce plans for a temporary Dallas location: The brand will take over a parking lot on the backside of The Joule throughout Super Bowl week. Don Julio’s master distiller’s made plans to be there, but you probably shouldn’t, unless you’ve received an invitation.

“The pop-up location will serve as a party venue for various private events,” publicist Dominic Benigno e-mails. “Due to legal reasons, they have to be RSVP only.”
